Well made

This is a fairly easy item to put together on your own without help. It's quite sturdy and does not feel flimsy like other coat racks. Mine came with some dents, but customer service took care of that right away by offering a discount (which I took because the dents weren't super noticeable). My complaint is how they package things. No bubble wrapping, just a thin plastic sleeve that is thinner than a plastic grocery bag- probably others have issues with dings and dents because of this and the packaging moves freely. The other complaint is that I had this in my car for a few weeks and the price changed dramatically during that time frame. Everything is inflated though, so it's not just this item.

I have 4 kids so there are many coats!

With 4 kids and living in a state with bad winters... The coats are heavy this is the best one I have ever bought! Holds all the coats 6+ on mine. And two are sine 3x in men's. I was worried about the product and if it would hold the weight of all the stuff. It does! Highly recommend!

Sturdy but a pain to assemble

I like the looks and the variety of things I can attach to it (coats, robes, umbrellas, capes, hats) all in various locations. It was horrible to assemble, even while watching the video. You'll need to practice patience, but it's worth it once it's complete.

Excellent design, excellent quality

This is an excellent design. It is strong, it is stable. The shape is visually appealing. It's black steel, but you wouldn't even notice that it's not dark wood after a couple of coats are hung on it, and it's not going to lose its finish like wood would. My only issue is it could have better assembly instructions. Steps 1 and 2, it's important to get each screw into the thread carefully and partway screwed in, with everything left loose -- and then only when all the screws are started, tighten them all -- if you don't do that, you will crossthread and mess up a thread somewhere. The other thing to know is in step 3, item K is a double ended screw -- you put the short threaded end into the flat top end of the post below, and screw it in, and you use a screwdriver in the little slot in the top of that K thing to tighten it down -- and only then do you screw the next tube onto the top of the K thing. With these two hints, I think you will have no trouble getting it properly assembled.

Assembly very difficult but I have a tip

I found this very difficult to put together. The curved parts simply would not fit onto the flat pole. What I ended up doing was screwing the lowest part of the leg onto the pole first because this was where the screws barely screwing in because the screws were a little bit too short. Then I slowly put together the legs and the poles moving up rather than starting from the umbrella Ring. After completion it is quite nicely put together and I think it will work well for me.

I struggled a little to put it together, and might've had to bend / unscrew / rescrew a bit, but I finally got it. I'll deal with that to get a nice and rather inexpensive coat rack up.
